Trustees, the Board, and the Province

My first priority would be ensuring every student receives the support they need to succeed and feel valued at school. As a mother of two children with diverse learning needs, I understand how difficult it can be for families to navigate the system and have their concerns heard. With over 10 years of TCDSB involvement through Parent Council, CPIC and SEAC, I know how to listen, ask tough questions and turn parent and student concerns into meaningful action and accountability.

Bullying in Schools

As a mother, I want every child to walk into school feeling safe, respected and included and every parent to know concerns will be taken seriously. Trustees must demand clear policies, consistent enforcement and accountability when the system falls short. I would support prevention, staff training, prompt reporting and follow-up, and meaningful help for affected students. Families must be heard without fear of dismissal or retaliation.

Class Sizes and Staffing

As a mother and longtime parent advocate, I have seen what happens when classrooms lack enough teachers, EAs and professional supports: students struggle, staff burn out and families feel unheard. As Trustee, I would challenge budgets and staffing decisions, demand transparent reporting and ensure resources reach the classrooms with the greatest needs. My priorities would be manageable class sizes and needs based staffing, especially for students requiring additional support.

Special Programs and Program Access

Being a mother of two who has navigated special education for my own children, I know families should not have to fight or understand the system’s inner workings to access support. I would prioritize fair, timely access to special education, language and arts programs based on student needs and community demand not postal code or family income. I would push for clear information, transparent wait-lists and decisions that address transportation, accessibility and barriers faced by families.
