Public safety. In 2025 I spoke before the City’s Budget Committee and Chair of the Toronto Police Service about a plan I believe could successfully stop auto theft crises within 6 to 9 months and help get illegal guns off our streets. If elected I will push to put it into action and measure the results, because the people who were suppose to safeguard us had different core standards and priorities. I kept working. Toronto has seen thousands of vehicles being stolen, police officers injure, I know my ideas will improve safety and save millions.
We are spending billions trying to deal with homelessness. Toronto has about 15,400 homeless people. If we are spending close to $1.3 billion a year, I want to see more permanent housing. Take the last 5 years, if a 20-storey building with 350 apartments costs about $210 million, then for $6.5 billion we might have 31 buildings, or about 10,850 apartments. My question is simple, after all the money we have spent, why aren't we building permanent housing and solving the problem instead we continue to pay for the problem year after year?
I know there is a way forward and I'm ready to do the work. I have a plan to make Ontario more financially sustainable. Create good-paying jobs, become less dependent on imports and take advantage of clean-abundant energy. Toronto will be a city where people can afford to live comfortably, I'm confident we can take back what we gave away. I have worked for the City of Toronto since 2006. I know how the city works from the inside. I know the challenges we face. Let me put my experience and knowledge to work for the people of Toronto.
Safety on Toronto's streets, school zones and students. If I'm elected my plan to stop speeding cars can be implemented with in weeks, proven to work, not a money grub, so Premier Ford will not change it or stop it, will not cost $51 million like reported by city hall and will not need 13 years to implement. According to Premier Ford, school safety zones might even cost taxpayers up to $210 million, not by my account. No need for speed bumps or roundabouts, unnecessary road construction.
Main arteries should be open. TTC should be free for students. Transit should be reliable, on time and most of all working. Our city ferries should be powered by hydrogen. Our local delivery trucks should also be powered by hydrogen, cheap and clean energy.
Confronting Hateful and Hostile Behaviour
Many Torontonians are concerned about hateful and hostile behaviour, which can disproportionately affect newcomers and members of racialized, marginalized, and equity-deserving communities. What would you prioritize on the next City Council to respond and keep Toronto safe and welcoming for everyone?Keeping Toronto safe would be one of my top priorities. We need to address crime by giving young people better access to education, skills training and well paying jobs, because too many young people without opportunities can become vulnerable to crime. I would work on both sides of the problem stronger public safety and more opportunities for young people, I belive that our future walks hand in hand with our well educated children.
