What's the most important thing you'd act on as a City Councillor, and what experience or strengths would help you make it happen?

I am Steve Yuen & I AM asking for your VOTE -the right to VOTE is the Privilege of our Democratic Society & All Canadiens. I have worked for 10+ years with the Federal Government, over 6 years with the City of Toronto including Nuit Blanche, Toronto Police Services, Metro Linx, Toronto Humane Society & The province. My Strengths: 37+ years of business/city experience, business owner in Ward 4, UWO Biz Grad - Passion to promote GOOD Neighbourhoods for our Children, Pets & Seniors Always SUPPORTING our LOCAL Businesses!

Housing

Housing costs weigh on Torontonians whether they rent or own, access to subsidized housing is limited, and a growing number of people have no home at all. What would you prioritize on the next City Council to help people find and keep a secure place to live?

Affordable Housing is NOT exclusive to the those just in need. Affordable Housing is inclusive to every Canadian & ALL Residents in Ward 4! Therefore; my first Engagement would be to ask the Federal Government or OUR Prime Minister Mark Carney ( the former Bank of Canada Governor) to help LOWER THE FEDERAL INTEREST RATE FOR EVERYONE! Current owners, potential rent to ownership will SAVE the Co$t$ of living to further assist increased tax dollar$$ for those ESPECIALLY in need.

Cost of Living

The cost of daily life keeps climbing — housing, transit fares, city fees, etc. What is one thing you would prioritize on the next City Council to make Toronto more affordable, soon enough to matter to residents?

I am Steve Yuen & I am not here to make empty promises. I WILL work HARD to make housing, transit, roads, parks , rent, support local businesses more affordable for my constituents including All Canadians! I am here to LISTEN, WORK HARD & DELIVER...by working with 3 level of Governments - The City of Toronto- The Ontario Provincial & The Federal Government - For WARD 4 & all Canadians. I WILL make SURE to my Constituents that YOUR TAX dollar$$ are spent responsibly!

Safety in Public Spaces

Some Torontonians don't feel safe in parks, on transit, or on certain streets, even where reported crime is low. What would you prioritize on the next City Council to help people be and feel safe in the city's public spaces?

TORONTO DESERVES Safer & Friendlier Neighbourhoods, Roads & Parks! I WILL promote a GOOD Neighbourhood WATCH program for our Children, Pets & Seniors. IF you are not the GOOD Neighbour You are probably the BAD Neighbour ...Who commits crime, lacks respect for property, speeder, breaks the LAW,does not care regardless of age, gender, religion or who you are? GOOD NEIGHBOURS HELP, CARE & WATCH -Each other; & GIVE to Each other When there are those in Need. -in the END the LOVE you take is EQUAL to the LOVE you make!

Getting Around the City

Getting around the city is a source of frustration for many Torontonians, whether people drive, take transit, cycle, or walk. What would you prioritize on the next City Council to improve how people move around the city, however they travel?

Transit needs Reliability & BE Affordable! FREE Transit to 16 younger & 60+ older or those Handicapped / in Need -subsidized/ REGULATED by Province & Feds All electric bikes etc. are licensed -must be 16 years+ Penalty for non compliance-loss of your bike or scooter etc. NO Tolerance Policy- you lose your bike immediately SPEED Camera for BIKERS Transponder$ for ALL Out of Town Vehicles- + Revenue$$ It's a 4 way street RESPECT EVERYONE - People, Bikers, Electric/ Gas vehicles. FREE 15 min parking 4 BIA Patron$

Confronting Hateful and Hostile Behaviour

Many Torontonians are concerned about hateful and hostile behaviour, which can disproportionately affect newcomers and members of racialized, marginalized, and equity-deserving communities. What would you prioritize on the next City Council to respond and keep Toronto safe and welcoming for everyone?
